Who is Iris? Where did she come from? Where has she gone?

Alasdair Masters has more questions than answers about his new, too young obsession, and when he finds out she’s been lying to him, from their first meeting to their last one, he’s more confused than ever about her feelings, her intentions.

And what’s just as confusing are his own feelings. Has he turned something purely physical into something emotional in his own head? Is any of it mutual?

The only thing he doesn’t question is whether he’ll keep going back for more.

Me, I was simple. I was order. A very neat, efficient machine that ran on nothing but air.

Me plus anyone else, well, that was another matter. And me plus Iris, that was a monster of a machine, with all gears going at different speeds, some spinning off their hinges, just going mad, but it was a wonderful madness, at full throttle, misfiring in all directions.

It felt wonderful and dreadful.

I was breaking down, and it felt amazing.

And terrifying.

This book is intended for readers 18 and up.

I've been drinkin, I've been drinkin. Why can't I keep my fingers off Dair Masters?

Dair, the somewhat recluse, is back and he's giving me major lady boner, again. My gawd, I am loving this series and I don't even like serials!

It was a craving for intimacy that made this thing between us so unquenchable for me. Iris made me feel human again, and I needed that more than I'd ever realized.

There was a lot of mystery surrounding Iris in The Wild Side, and in the second installment, Dair is still as confused about his feelings for Iris, and his constant worry of her whereabouts. The girl has a habit of disappearing, then reappearing at the most unexpected times. Lilley left me in a bit of a tizzy at the end of Wild Side, but thank fuck for the sneak peak at chapter one of IRIS, because the cliff hanger was like a hard pill to swallow.

Iris continues to keep Dair in the dark about her past, and had me just as curious as he was. Her disappearing act definitely keeps Dair on his toes, and always puts her in the forefront of his thoughts. The betrayal of his ex-wife and their subsequent divorce sucked a lot of the life force in Dair, but ever since meeting Iris, there has been a lot more color to his life. And I'm not only talking about Iris' affinity for neon clothing. The man is obsessed with the girl, and can't stop himself from wanting to know more about her true identity and the dark secrets she's hiding.

She was a feast, and I was a man starved.
The element of mystery surrounding Iris definitely had me intrigued as much as Dair. I found myself running all sorts of scenarios about Iris' past through my brain. Was she a gold-digging hussy? Was she some high priced call girl on a mission to ruin him? Was she running away from the mob? Who is this girl?! I need to know R.K. Lilley! But like with book one, Lilley doesn't divulge all Iris' secrets, and she leaves us with even more unanswered questions.

As with the first book, IRIS definitely has A LOT of sex scenes and they're just as thrilling as in the first book. If you're a book smut that likes lots of sex, then you need to read this series! But all the sexin doesn't deter you from the fact that there is definitely a love story blossoming between Iris and Dair. Iris has definitely melted the ice that has surrounded Dair's heart for the past year, and he in turn has become her safe haven when she's not running away from the skeletons in her closet.

I'd give my life to stay with you, but also know that I'd give you up to keep you safe. In a world full of lies, you were my truth. You were my light and compass.

R.K. Lilley's writing continues to sizzle with IRIS, and she definitely has me hooked on this series. I'm definitely looking forward to the third and final installment, DAIR, and cannot wait to finally find out who Iris is. If you're looking for a quickie read, you definitely need to read these books. Dair and Iris will definitely liven up your reading and leave you seeing in technicolor.
